Noni Purnomo holds an Industrial Engineering degree and an MBA in Finance and Marketing. She is a Business Woman, Philanthropist, and mother of 3 daughters. In 2015 she was listed in “Power Women in Asia” by Forbes, 2017 Globe Asia’s “99 Most Powerful Women” and 2017 Endeavour Indonesia Mentor of the Year.
Noni’s late grandmother, who founded Blue Bird Group, taught her that the soul of the company is: Integrity, Hard work, Perseverance and Care for employees and society.
Noni is currently the President Director of Blue Bird Group Holding, and manages the group’s business portfolio, which includes passenger land transportation (taxis, rental car & limousine, and charter bus), logistics, heavy equipment trading, property, and IT supporting services.
The Group’s core passenger transportation division currently serves millions of customers every month in almost 20 cities in Indonesia, owns around 39,000 vehicles and employs almost 50,000 drivers and staff in Indonesia.
Noni founded Blue Bird Peduli (Blue Bird Care – a philanthropy division of Blue Bird Group) which recently launched the 'Women Empowerment Project' to empower the more than 40,000 wives of Blue Bird Group employees and drivers. Blue Bird Peduli focuses on Education, Women Empowerment, sustainability and Culture. Since 2006 alone, Blue Bird Peduli has given scholarships to more than 15,000 children of Blue Bird drivers, and many of them have finished University degrees.
Beyond Blue Bird Peduli scholarship program, Noni has more than 120 children she personally supporting. She also mentors new talent and startups through Endeavour Indonesia. Noni is a founder member of Angel Investment (ANGIN) started as a Women Fund that empowers women entrepreneurs through investment, mentorship and networking opportunities.
Noni is passionate about entrepreneurship. She launched her personal Express Service company, NEX, which has been growing very rapidly to support Indonesia’s ecommerce growth and expanded its business by a Joint Venture with Kerry Logistics.
Noni serves as a board member of the Australia Indonesia Institute by the Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs. She also serves as a Chairperson of Intelligent Transport System Indonesia Chapter, Indonesian Transport Society Board of Presidium, Board of Advisor of IPMI (Institut Pengembangan Manajemen Indonesia), Coca Cola Amatil Indonesia and Antler. A Young Presidents Organization Member since 2003 and served in various board positions within YPO.
